Lollipops vs. suckers - Gourmet vs. ordinary
As specialists within the candy industry, we are qualified experts on so called "stick products".
Lollipops are generally spherical in shape. Suckers are typically flat and round with a waxy consistency.
What differentiates a gourmet product from ordinary is quality and value in all respects?
There are two main categories of comparison; appearance and flavour. Ordinary lollipops are made with low quality, inexpensive flavourant in very low dosage, in a low density mass. Besides being weak in flavour, they are weak in color and poor in texture. The result is low value.
Gourmet lollipops are about the TASTE. Our goal is to deliver realistic flavour from start to finish to make a complete taste experience. This is accomplished by using high grade flavourant in ample quantity so there is no "flavour fade". The flavour must be realistic to its name and added to a high density mass via our proprietary method.
This results in a high value product with strong, aromatic flavour, a realistic taste, consistent flavour delivery from start to finish and vibrant color. This is referred to as gourmet quality. Although gourmet is a term used loosely by some of our competitors, by the very nature of their standard manufacturing practices, it is an unattainable goal.
We are the only manufacturer with a specially developed, proprietary production method which provides the ability to produce truly gourmet lollipops. Furthermore, we add NO preservatives, humectants, emulsifiers, stabilizers, or binder agents.
